Effective bond is the validator collateral target. Participant-owned bond is the validator operator's own stake. Protocol credit is protocol-owned matched collateral and is not user-owned voting or withdrawal value.

Activation, active service, exit, cooldown and withdrawal eligibility are distinct lifecycle states.
